Prince Harry on life with his children in the USA

The move to California has allowed Prince Harry to lead a life outside of royal duties. Since stepping down as senior royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan have worked towards financial independence and building a life in their new home. Harry explained that he now considers the USA his home.

He ruled out a return to the royal family in London, stating: "I very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here. It’s a part of my life that I never thought I was going to live." He added that such freedom would not be possible in the UK due to security concerns.

Harry criticizes media and security

A key theme of Harry's speech was the constant media attention and its impact on his mental health. He drew parallels to his mother's experiences with the press, saying: "When you are kind of trapped within this bubble, it kind of feels like there's no way out"

These challenges have led him to focus intensely on security, especially after his police protection measures in the UK were reduced. "What worried me most was worrying that would happen to me, or to my wife, or to my kids," he added, explaining his concerns.

Princess Diana’s influence on Harry’s decisions

Princess Diana remains a central figure in Harry's life and decisions. He believes life in the USA is in the best interest of his family, and he applies the lessons learned from his mother’s experiences to his own family life. "I feel as though it's the life that my mom wanted for me," he said in the interview.

Harry emphasized that his top priority is being the best husband and father he can be, sharing how much he enjoys spending holidays with his family, noting that each year gets better.
