The youngest members of the royal family, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, captivated onlookers during the traditional Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham. The trio, accompanied by their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, joined King Charles and other senior royals for the festive outing. Prince George, 11, led the way with confidence, while nine-year-old Princess Charlotte charmed the crowd with her sweet smiles. Six-year-old Prince Louis, known for his playful nature, captured hearts with his cheeky demeanor and playful waves.
A festive family tradition
The royal family walked from St Mary Magdalene Church, where they attended the annual Christmas morning service, to greet the gathered crowds. The young royals were impeccably dressed for the occasion, with Charlotte wearing a festive blue coat and her brothers opting for classic tailored coats. The children were also joined by Zara and Mike Tindall's children, as well as Peter Phillips' children. Prince Louis looked particularly happy as he carried gifts from well-wishers.
A challenging year for the royals
This Christmas marks a poignant time for the royals, with the Princess of Wales gradually returning to public duties after her cancer treatment, and King Charles still under the care of cancer specialists. Prince William recently described the past 12 months as "brutal" due to his family's health challenges. During his trip to South Africa, William spoke candidly about the difficulties, saying: "Honestly, it's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life. So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult."
