Prince Edward Adapts To Coronavirus Pandemic And Works From Home

Prince Edward has adapted to the COVID-19 outbreak and is now working from home. The Earl of Wessex had to resort to video conferencing recently, while one of his public engagements had to be cancelled because of the pandemic. And he's not the only royal whose schedule has opened up during this crisis...

People all over the world are now working from home because of the COVID-19 crisis and Queen Elizabeth II's son Prince Edward is one of them by now. The Earl of Wessex, who celebrated his 56th birthday last week, took part in a video conference in relation to the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation on Monday.

Prince Edward: Home office for the Earl of Wessex

Prince Edward was originally going to hold a dinner at St. James's Palace for the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, but a number of guests were unable to attend because of the pandemic so the event had to be postponed, according to Hello!.

The Earl's planned reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday morning for the Anglo-Swedish Society was also rescheduled, as the Swedish government are advising all their citizens to forego international travel at the moment.

The chairman of the the society, Alexander Malmaeus, said to the Press Association: "It was due to a duty of care. The Earl of Wessex and the Anglo-Swedish Society made the decision jointly."

And Prince Edward is not the only royal who has had to adapt to the coronavirus outbreak. Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla also cancelled their spring tour, and the Queen postponed all public engagements for the foreseeable future...
