Not King Charles? Australia Replacing The Queen On $5 Bill With THIS

Australia just announced plans to "replace" Queen Elizabeth II on its $5 bill. The decision comes just under five months after the monarch's death.

The country also revealed what will go on the redesigned $5 bill – and it might surprise you!

For decades, Australia featured the head of the British monarchy, Queen Elizabeth II, on its $5 bill.

But after her death in late 2022, the country is going in a new direction with its common banknote. The new ruler King Charles III will not take his late mother's place on the bill...

Instead, Australia's central bank said they will devote the $5 bill to "the culture and history of the First Australians."

They say it will take "a number of years" to complete this new design and begin to circulate it officially.

The back side of the bill features the Australian Parliament, and that will remain unchanged on the new $5 note.

The central bank statement added that the Australian Government "supports this change"...

Nevertheless, Australia remains a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, and the country is a constitutional monarchy today.

But the $5 bill decision is being viewed by some as another slight to King Charles and the British royals...

Following the start of King Charles III's reign, debates were reignited about the British monarchy's influence around the world today.

In Australia's case, they will now focus the $5 on their own culture and history.

So, no King Charles III on that Australian $5! Expect to see the redesigned bill in the near future.
