As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly plan a production of Canadian novelist Carley Fortune's romance novel 'Meet Me At The Lake', sources close to the couple say they have been captivated by the plot. The New York Times bestselling author's second novel is a romance about two long-lost lovers, whose paths cross a decade after first meeting. It's not exactly cheap to buy the rights to a book that could well sell millions of copies. Insider have spoken to 'The Sun' and said that the Sussexes, bought the rights to the book for an estimated £3million.

Harry and Meghan are making movies now!

Prince Harry and Meghan seem to have made a special connection with the book and were interested in the novel due to the themes it explores. 'The themes of the book gripped the couple and it was chosen for their first adaptation with Netflix,' the insider said. The plot of the novel is a tale as old as time. Its plot sees the two main characters grapple with grief, complicated family situations and an unexpected love story. These are all things that perhaps ring very true for the couple.

Also interesting:

The plot of the story takes place in the bustling Canadian city of Toronto. Toronto is a city very close to Meghan's heart, as it was where she lived for seven years while filming 'Suits', the legal drama which was her big break in the entertainment industry.

It will be interesting to see what kind of film can come from these two as producers!
