- Charles is crowned king on May 6th
- The royals are looking forward to the event
- But there is a hail of cancellations from guests
Duchess Meghan (41) and her children, Prince Archie (3) and Princess Lilibet (1), are not the only ones not attending the coronation of King Charles III (74) on May 6th. There have been many cancellations in the weeks leading up to the major event for the British royal family. This is certainly not how the monarch imagined it.
King Charles' coronation: the list of cancellations is long
US President Joe Biden (80) is one of the invited guests who prefers to stay away from the coronation of King Charles, as 'FAZ' reports. Several representatives of the Scandinavian royal families have also declined their invitation to London.
Not only are political and royal representatives refraining from attending the important event for the British King, but some famous stars also seem to prefer other dates. For Charles' Coronation Concert there are said to have been cancellations from Adele (34), Elton John (76), Harry Styles (29) and the Spice Girls.
Also interesting:
While some will voluntarily forego the coronation, others are angry that they were not invited. This is in reference to Sarah Ferguson (63), the ex-wife of Prince Andrew (63), as 'People' reports.
