- The Duchess of York gives her daughters some advice
- She speaks wonders of them
- But also warns them
No one likes to be in an awkward situation, and we can all have a bad day. When you are a princess, such as Princess Beatrice or Princess Eugenie, you feel a lot of pressure in the public eye.
Ferguson says no one wants a "grumpy princess"
In a friendly but cautious advice to her daughters, Ferguson warned them that if they did not feel very kind or happy enough to smile and be polite, it is better not to step into the spotlight at all.
These are, of course, very wise words, and even though they may seem obvious, everybody tends to forget every now and again. If we look into history, those pictures in which a royal did not smile stand out a lot compared to the hundreds — if not thousands of pictures of them smiling.
