Duchess Kate has revealed that she'll be giving an update on the results of her current project in the near future! As People shares, the Duchess of Cambridge undertook an extensive survey near the beginning of the year to collect information about the well-being of children and families in the United Kingdom— and now, she's getting ready to share what she's learned!
Duchess Kate shares importance of talking about families
Duchess Kate announced the forthcoming release of the survey data she's collected via a video shared on the official Kensington Royal social media pages! "Earlier this year we asked you 5 Big Questions about raising our under-fives," the Duchess of Cambridge says while wearing a blazer, gold necklace, and salmon-coloured sweater. "We wanted to hear what you think about the importance of the earliest years of our children’s lives."
“More than half a million of you answered that call, so we’ve taken your input and combined it with even more public research to produce the U.K.’s biggest ever study on the early years," Kate continues, while images of her with young children and attending various events flash on-screen. "This year has been a hugely challenging time for us all and there hasn’t been a more important time to talk about families."
Duchess Kate says her latest project "is just the beginning"
Duchess Kate also let royal fans know that she will be hosting an organized Q&A in a few days as part of the exciting reveal! "Later on this week we’ll share 5 Big Insights that we’ve discovered and I will take your questions," she says at the end of the video. "This is just the beginning and I want to thank you for starting a conversation because we’re all on this journey together."
As People mentions, Kate's survey, called "5 Big Questions on the Under Fives," saw over 500,000 people giving their insight into key questions about children younger than 5 years old. Some of these groups included schoolteachers, mothers, child experts, and caregivers. The royal even participated in an exclusive interview for the podcast Happy Mom, Happy Baby that was focused on the topic of parenting!
This year has certainly been a busy one for the Duchess of Cambridge! The royal's other big project for 2020— the lockdown-themed photo gallery Hold Still, which featured 100 photos submitted from across the nation chosen by Kate herself— recently wrapped up its exhibition. The photos were shared online as part of a virtual gallery, and also appeared throughout the United Kingdom. One of them was even turned into a giant mural!
