Typically, the British royals are neutral when it comes to speaking about politics, but according to a statement by King Charles III (74), a hacker group had it out for the royal family. The monarch had spoken out in favor of Ukraine a few weeks ago.
How the Royals were hacked
The hackers of a pro-Russian association probably didn't like that, because on October 1, the Royals' website was taken offline. The alleged leader of the hacker group claimed responsibility for the attack on Telegram, according to British media.
As the 'Daily Mail' writes, citing an insider, the hackers were unable to gain access to the website. "The website was not accessible for about an hour and a half, the reason was a denial of service. No one had access to our systems or content," the source said.
In the case of a denial of service, the website is overloaded with search queries from the outside, so that it can no longer be displayed to users. Fortunately, the site was restored a short time later.
