King Charles visited the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Center alongside Queen Camilla to meet patients and healthcare professionals. The visit marked his first public engagement as a royal since announcing his own cancer diagnosis in February. The King used the opportunity to draw attention to the crucial role of early detection and tireless research in the fight against cancer.

An important visit to help others

During his visit, he exchanged stories and held patients' hands. When asked about his health, he replied that the diagnosis was initially a "shock", but that he was grateful for the treatment and the progress in his recovery. Despite his illness, Charles also has positive news.
