- King Charles has to cancel appointments
- The royal family postpones appearances
- This is the reason why
King Charles III (75), who recently resumed public duties after cancer treatment, has unexpectedly canceled his appointments. He was scheduled to visit Cheshire this week, but the visit has been called off. Additionally, the rest of the royal family will have fewer engagements in the coming weeks.

Reason Behind the Royal Family's Sudden Cancellations
The recent cancellations by the British royal family are not due to health issues. Instead, they are stepping back due to political reasons. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced new elections, and the royals do not want to distract from the election campaign. According to the 'Mirror,' a palace spokesman stated: "Following the Prime Minister's statement this afternoon calling a general election, the royal family will - in accordance with normal procedure - postpone engagements that may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign. Their Majesties send their sincere apologies to any of those who may be affected as a result."
Not all royal events are canceled. King Charles III will still attend major national events, including the D-Day commemorations next month, and royal events like garden parties will continue. A state visit from Japan is also planned during the election campaign, pending a decision by the Foreign Ministry.
