Princess Kate (42) and her daughter Princess Charlotte (9) attended the men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon on Sunday, July 14. Kate wore an elegant purple dress by Safiyaa and later presented the winner's trophy to Alcaraz.
This marked Kate's second public appearance since revealing her battle with cancer, following her participation in the Trooping the Color ceremony in June. As they made their way to the royal box, Kate and Charlotte were greeted with cheers from the audience.

Body language expert Judi James commented on this moment to 'Metro' as "very personal “get well soon” card from the public in a more direct and intimate setting than her recent balcony appearance with the rest of the family’'.
James notes: "She accepted the response with a rather modest nod of her head, as if hoping to sneak into her seat unnoticed." She added that Kate's "royal elegance and her signals of self-confidence disappeared slightly at that moment".
But then, James continues, "She received the reaction with a rather modest dip of the head, as though hoping she could sneak into her seat unnoticed".

According to James, Princess Charlotte showed "how grown up she is" by taking her cue from her mother and needing little help to master the performance brilliantly.
James concludes her analysis with the words: "Kate’s body language signalled surprise, delight and a huge desire to re-bond with her supportive and very caring public during this one in her first few steps of recovery from illness".
