- Princess Kate can do many things
- She is very musically inclined
- THIS is her singing back in the day
Before she was ever a royal, Kate Middleton took center stage for a school production and that was the start of it. While the Princess of Wales, 41, has shown the world her talent previously by playing piano to support various causes, footage of her singing in a school play has recently gone viral online. A fan has shared a clip to Instagram where you can see a young Kate belting out on stage. She sang "Wouldn’t It Be Lovely" from 'My Fair Lady' in the lead role of "Eliza Doolittle". And she was quite the performer as well, as the evidence will show:
Kate has real acting chops!
"Lots of chocolate for me to eat, lots of coal makin' lots of heat. Warm face, warm hands, warm feet, oh, wouldn't it be lovely," she sang. For so many royal fans, it's such a treat to see her back in the day, channeling the character so unapologetically. Perhaps if she had known she would one day go viral, we wouldn't have such a passionate performance! According to 'Classic FM', Princess Kate sang the solo at age 11 during a performance at St. Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, Berkshire, where she attended classes until 1995.

But in the end, as far as her musical aspirations went, Kate decided to stick to playing the piano. "She was absolutely lovely, a really delightful person to teach the piano," her former instructor Daniel Nicholls told the 'Evening Standard'. "I don't think anyone would say she was going to be a concert pianist, but she was good at it, she always did everything she was told," he added.
Some three decades later, Kate organized the inaugural 'Royal Carols: Together At Christmas' carol show in December of 2021. Much to everyone's surprise, she had a cameo during the show. In a prerecorded video that aired during the broadcast, Kate played piano while singer Tom Walked sang a rendition of "For Those Who Can't Be Here."
