The fluid and open-minded British pop duo the Pet Shop Boys took the world by storm in the 1980s. In their 20's Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe formed their group in 1981 when they met in a hi-fi shop in London and realized they had a similar taste and interest.

Very quickly they put their talents and efforts into their first hit's "West End Girls", "Rent", and "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)." By 1984, their hypnotizing song "West End Girls" was a major club song in major cities across the US and the UK. "Opportunites (Let's Make Lots of Money)" was even used as the theme song for MTV's Beauty and the Geek.

Their live performances became incredibly popular because the two turned their concerts into art shows and storytelling with beautiful and complicated imagery and insane costumes.

The Pet Shop Boys have released 14 albums since the 80s and even performed the closing ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics!
To this day Chris and Neil continue to perform and create music, often headlining major festivals all over the world. Their incredible sets and outrageous costumes draw incredibly huge crowds. They're in their 60's and still kickin' butt!
