Amy Grant went through dangerous open-heart surgery earlier this year to fix her rare heart condition PAPVR which is when one or two of the pulmonary heart veins drain blood into the wrong atrium which takes oxygen-rich blood back to the lungs instead of the rest of the body.

Luckily, the PAPVR was caught by doctors during a routine checkup and she was able to have surgery to correct the rare heart condition. Amy's publicist said "Thank you for so many prayers today. Amy is out of surgery and the doctor said it could not have gone better. We would ask for continued prayers over the days, weeks and months to come as she makes a full recovery."
