Pop sensation Dua Lipa (26) drops another banger with her new song 'Houdini', teasing fans with a taste of her yet-to-be-titled third album.
After the huge success of her last album, "Future Nostalgia", Dua Lipa is ready to release her third full-length album. Her latest single 'Houdini' is a tantalizing preview of her upcoming, still-untitled, new album. The song is a classic Dua Lipa track, with strong, pulsing beats and a striking 80s synthesizer sound.
The lyrics of 'Houdini' aren't about the famous escape artist, but rather a symbolic representation of the singer's playful approach to her love life. She explains, "This track represents the most light and freeing parts of my singledom. 'Houdini' is very tongue in cheek, exploring the idea of whether someone is really worth my while or if I'll ghost them in the end".
Lipa has kept details about her upcoming album under wraps, but she recently hinted that it's inspired by "1970s style psychedelia". In 2022, she told Elton John on her 'Dua Lipa: At Your Service' podcast that it was halfway finished, but has since said, “It’s taken a complete turn as I’ve carried on working, and I really feel now that it’s starting to sound cohesive".
There’s no official release date yet, but the album is expected early next year.
