CMT Giants: Kenny Rogers aired on CMT on Wednesday, April 8. It was a night of tributes to the late Kenny Rogers, as well as a benefit for MusiCares and its COVID-19 Relief Fund.
One of the headline performers was Dolly Parton, a long-time friend of Rogers. During the broadcast, she sang "Sweet Music Man" from her home. Watch her tribute below.

Parton's rendition of the Kenny Rogers classic was touching, yet sombre. The duo sang many songs together over the years, including their number-one hit "Islands in the Stream" in 1983.

In addition to Dolly Parton, other stars who appeared on the special included Gavin DeGraw, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Jennifer Nettles, Lady Antebellum, Lionel Ritchie, Michael McDonald, Randy Houser, Rascal Flatts, and Vince Gill.
CMT called the event "an uplifting celebration to honor the extraordinary life and legendary music" of the late Kenny Rogers. He passed away at the age of 81 on March 20, 2020.
