Keith Urban: Life before fame

Eventually Urban left The Ranch to focus on his solo career. His solo debut album, Keith Urban was a smash hit and there was no looking back for the talented singer. Urban began his country music career in Australia and was born into a family of music lovers. Urban was exposed to country music from a young age and was also given guitar lessons.

As a teenager, he participated in and won several talent shows. He started playing for a local country band and developed his own unique style of music - a combination of rock guitar and country - which enabled him to create a niche for himself in Australia.

While living in Nashville, Urban became a heavy user of cocaine. After reaching a low point in 1998, he became determined to stop using the drug and checked into Cumberland Heights Treatment Center in Nashville. Urban had a relapse in 2006 and checked into the Betty Ford Center in California.  

Urban then met award-winning actress Nicole Kidman in 2005 and they were married on 25th June 2006 in Sydney, Australia. The couple has two children and Urban has not been in rehab since his relapse in 2006.

Keith's most recent albums titled The Speed of Now Part 1 was released in 2020 and High, which was released in 2024 are both amazing works. We can't wait to see what else he has in store!
