Coachella Festival

The Coachella Festival became one of the most popular music festivals and is now known to be riddled with celebrities. It has grown over the years into one of the most central festivals, producing some of the most important musicians, bands and acts in music history. It has been held every year for three days in Coachella Valley in  California since 1999 and has even expanded to two consecutive weekends.

Due to the growing popularity of the festival, there have been more and more celebrities over the years. Stars like Will Smith, Justin Biever, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kylie and Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid have already enriched the festival.

• In 1999, tickets were only #50!
• The success of Coachella led to other festivals taking place in the same area like Desert Trip or Stagecoach.
• In 2007 the festival had its first completely sold-out event with Radiohead as the headliner.
• On the 20th anniversary of the festival a documentary Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert aired in April 2020.
