Zachary Knighton is an American actor from Alexandria, Virginia. Upon graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University, he received the "Excellence in Theatre" award for his acclaimed performances. Shortly thereafter, he began acting in smaller roles for various films. His breakout was in the horror film The Hitcher, where he starred opposite Sophia Bush in 2007.
From 2009-2010, he had a main role in the ABC series, FlashForward. Although the show was cancelled after one season, Knighton continued to work on the channel for the sitcom, Happy Endings. In 2014, he appeared for a recurring role on the series, Parenthood and then on Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet.

Knighton now stars in the remake of Magnum P.I as "Orville 'Rick' Wright", a former Marine who runs his own bar. He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he enjoys surfing and sailing.
