Sarah Paulson is known for starring in many of Ryan Murphy's intense creations! Born in Tampa, Florida on December 17th, 1974, Sarah would move to Maine at the age of 5 due to her parent's divorce. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to New York with her mom, who worked as a waitress in the city, and her sister. Initially, she grew up in Brooklyn but then settled in Manhattan to attend Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Sarah Paulson's Life Before Fame
Right out of high school, Paulson was already starting her acting career! She appeared in the play Talking Pictures at the renowned Signature Theatre in NYC, as well as an episode of Law & Order in 1994.
From then on throughout the '90s, Paulson was cast in a slew of roles on television, film, and Broadway! This includes American Gothic (1995), Levitation (1997), Jack & Jill (1999), and Killer Joe (1998).
In the early 2000s, Sarah appeared on popular television series that are also some of your favorites, including Desperate Housewives, Law & Order: SVU, Deadwood, and Grey's Anatomy.
Today, the actress holds many awards and accolades throughout her many years as an actress. Her most recent well-known roles are in American Horror Story and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, where she won Critic's Choice Awards for both of her performances in the incredible shows.
Sarah Paulson starred in the 10th season of American Horror Story. She also had a role in Impeachment: American Crime Story, based on the Clinton–Lewinsky scandal.
