The 57-year-old Academy Award winner was dining at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills when someone from another table allegedly threw a glass, hitting him in the mouth. This incident, which occurred on Friday night, prompted a response from the Beverly Hills Police Department.

They noted that while the initial report suggested an assault with a deadly weapon, it was later deemed a physical altercation without any arrests made.

Following the incident, Foxx took to Instagram to update his fans. He shared that he was "recovering" and expressed gratitude for the support he received.

In his post, Foxx wrote, "The devil is busy... but I'm too blessed to be stressed." He thanked those who prayed for him, emphasizing the resilience he feels amidst challenges.

His representative confirmed that Foxx required stitches after the ordeal, but he appeared to be in good spirits as he engaged with his followers.

In a news release obtained by 'People' magainze, the Beverly Hills Police Department said that authorities were called to the restaurant on Friday night around 10 p.m. local time regarding an alleged fight inside.
