Craig Sheffer was born on April 23rd, 1960 in York, Pennsylvania. Before becoming a successful actor, he worked selling newspapers and "slept under the marble staircase" for weeks in the Grand Central Terminal. His very first role was as "Ian Hayden" on the ABC daytime soap One Life to Live and then again in 1983 on The Hamptons

Other film credits of his include The Program (1993), Fire in the Sky (1993), Head Above Water (1996) and Sleep With Me (1994). From 2003 to 2007 and again in 2012, Craig Sheffer played the role of "Keith Scott" in the CW network drama One Tree Hill for a total of 58 episodes.

Since his time on One Tree Hill, he has been in the movies Love Lies Bleeding (2008), While She Was Out (2008), Bad Ass (2012), The Mark (2012), The Mark 2: Redemption (2013), Battledogs (2013) and most recently in the 2016 film Code of Honor opposite Steven Seagal. In terms of television shows, he has made appearances in Psych (2010), Criminal Minds (2010), The Mentalist (2012) and two episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2012).
