From 1981 to 1989, the cult series Dynasty told the story of the fierce struggles for economic power between two oil companies in Denver, Colorado. Naturally, it was also about the private conflicts between the families who owned the companies which made the series such a hit.
Linda Evans played the role of "Krystle Carrington", a secretary who was married to businessman "Blake Carrington", played by John Forsythe.
"Krystle" had previously been married to tennis professional "Mark Jennings" and had an affair with a Denver-Carrington employee while married to "Blake". Her character eventually fell into a coma after surgery and Linda Evans left the Dynasty cast.
Linda Evans starred as "Audra" on The Big Valley
Linda Evans had her first role at the age of just fifteen in an episode of the sitcom Bachelor Father, in which she met her future Dynasty co-star John Forsythe for the first time. Evans had her big breakthrough however, when she played "Audra Barkley" in the series The Big Valley, which ran from 1965 to 1969.
Linda Evans: "Krystle" won a Golden Globe
Linda starred in several films including Avalanche Express in 1979 and Tom Horn in 1980, and then moved on to starring in Dynasty, starting in 1981. Linda Evans won five People's Choice Awards and even a Golden Globe for her performance as "Krystle".
After she left Dynasty, Linda founded a chain of gyms and health clubs. In 1991 she returned to TV screens in Dynasty: The Reunion.
The blonde bombshell published her own book Linda Evans Beauty and Exercise in 1983. Almost at the same time as her Dynasty co-star Pamela Sue Martin, Evans retired from acting in 1997.

Linda Evans today
In 2009 Evans won the reality show Hell's Kitchen and in 2011 her book Recipes for Life - My Memories was published. In it, she shares anecdotes from her life and forty of her favorite recipes. As an exceptional actress, it is no surprise that she also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Linda Evans has been engaged once and married twice. Unfortunately, both her marriages failed and she has no children. Today, Evans lives on a secluded farm in the state of Washington.
