Wagner Maniçoba de Moura was born in Rodelas, Bahia, Brazil on June 27, 1976. He is a Brazilian actor, director, composer, and vocalist known for his roles as "Roberto Nascimento" in Elite Troop and Elite Troop 2 and Pablo Escobar in the Netflix series Narcos. He graduated in journalism from the Federal University of Bahia but decided to become an actor. He is also a part of the band Sua Mãe.

Moura is married to photographer Sandra Delgado, whom he met during a photoshoot in his early years as an actor. They both share a passion for art and politics and belong to the organization 50 for Freedom which is dedicated to eradicating slavery that still exists in far too many countries. They are also very involved in the politics of their home country, frequently participating in various protests and publicly denouncing the injustices committed on the people. Wagner moved his family to Colombia for 6 months during the filming of the second season of Narcos because he missed them too much. Sandra decided to learn Spanish with her husband after seeing how frustrated he was not being able to learn it well to play Pablo Escobar.
