'Set It Off'

Vivica Fox, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah and Kimberly Elise all starred in the 1996 crime-heist film Set It Off. What a cast, right? Critics and audience members mutually loved it - the film grossed $41 million against a $9 million budget.

'Independence Day'

Independence Day was certainly Vivica's biggest financial success! The film garnered over $817.4 million worldwide and won an Academy for Best Visual Effects! In the sci-fi action flick, she played Will Smith's girlfriend and the pair even went onto win an MTV Award for Best Kiss. Fox was nominated for both a BET Award for Best Actress and NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, respectively.

Vivica would be nominated again for a BET and NAACP Award for Best Actress for her role in Two Can Play That Game. In the romantic comedy, she stars opposite Morris Chestnut as they challenge each other's ideals on what a man or woman wants. In Vivica's next comedy role, she portrayed a basketball player in the movie Juwanna Mann, alongside Miguel A. Núñez Jr., who portrayed the role of a female basketball player. In an incredibly intense film, Fox stars as Criminal Minds' Shemar Moore's wife in Motives. The 2004 movie is an erotics thriller that deals with different affairs, deaths, and an outstanding performance from Fox. As she was a producer of the film, she was also nominated for a Black Reel Award for Best Independent Film.

'Kill Bill' film series

In one of her most action-filled parts, Fox portrays "Vernita Green" aka "Copperhead" in the Quentin Tarantino films Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2. She went head-to-head in one epic and legendary fight scene with Uma Thurman. She told IndieWire that she, Uma, Daryl Hannah, Lucy Liu and David Carradine all spent 8 hours a day for three entire months learning martial arts. And it shows! Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 are considered to be some of Tarantino's best works.
