Tom Holland and Zendaya didn't listen to a key piece of advice that they received from Spider-Man: No Way Home producer Amy Pascal! Pascal recently told The New York Times about the specific conversation she had with the two young stars, explaining why she advised them not to be a couple.

Spider-Man co-stars frequently end up dating

Spider-Man: No Way Home recently hit theatres, and Holland and Zendaya have made several public appearances together to promote the film. Playing "Peter Parker" and "Michelle Jones" in the Spider-Man franchise, their chemistry on-screen has resulted in an off-screen romance. However, while they are finally hitting the red carpet as a couple, the film's producer didn't want them to get together.

"Don’t go there — just don’t. Try not to," Pascal recalled telling the two, saying she gave each of them "a lecture" on different occasions. She explained to The New York Times that a relationship between Spider-Man co-stars "can just complicate things," which she didn't want to happen. However, all of the stars who have played the hero and his love interest over the years have dated!

Pascal mentioned that she gave Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone the same talk, but said they also "ignored" her advice. While the two stars are no longer together, they dated for 4 years. Holland and Zendaya confirmed their relationship after paparazzi pics surfaced in the summer of the couple sharing an intimate moment. Holland addressed the leaked photos, saying that he and Zendaya "felt robbed of our privacy."
