Don't Miss Tom Hiddleston's Best Roles So Far

Born February 9, 1981 in London, Tom Hiddleston began to pursue acting as a career during his university years. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2005, Hiddleston's career would really start to take off with a number of stage productions. 

Some of Tom Hiddleston's earliest roles would take place in London's prestigious West End, with the young and talented star starring in productions of Cymbeline (2007), Ivanov (2008), and Othello (2008). Hiddleston would even win his first Olivier Award for Best Newcomer for his performance in Cymbeline. 

Tom Hiddleston's film debut would come with the 2007 drama, Unrelated. Starring alongside his sister, Emma, Hiddleston caught the eye of producers and his career would only go up from there. 

The role audiences are most familiar with seeing Hiddleston in is as "Loki", the mischievous adopted brother of "Thor". Tom Hiddleston would make his first appearance as "Loki" in 2011's Thor and would reprise the role for the film's two sequels, Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). 

"Loki" has also made appearances in the Avenger films and the role has skyrocketed Tom Hiddleston's career. Ironically, Hiddleston actually auditioned for the part of "Thor" but directors saw him as a better fit playing "Loki" in the end. We couldn't agree more. 

Not only would 2011 first bring Tom Hiddleston into the role of "Loki" but it would also see the star in three more hit films, the first being War Horse. Starring Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch, the Steven Spielberg film was a huge success. 

Along with War Horse, in 2011, Tom Hiddleston would also star in the British romantic drama, The Deep Blue Sea as well as Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris. 

Another great role Tom Hiddleston has starred in is as "Jonathan Pine" in the AMC/BBC limited series, The Night Manager. Not only did Hiddleston star in the drama but he also worked as an executive producer! The series would earn Hiddleston his first Golden Globe as well as two Primetime Emmy nominations. 

Tom Hiddleston in 2017's Kong: Skull Island is yet another great film starring the talented actor. The film was a huge commercial success and was well-received by both fans and critics. 

Tom Hiddleston has continued to nurture a passion for theatre and most recently made his Broadway debut in 2019 with a production of 'Betrayal'. The now 44-year-old actor is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon! His role of "Loki" in the limited Marvel series on Disney+ has been a hit!
