Tom Brady's future with the New England Patriots was uncertain following the NFL's 2019 season. Most predicted that Brady would once again re-sign with the team that he'd spent his entire career with. But now Brady has announced that he's moving on! On Tuesday, the 42-year-old revealed the news with two Twitter statements.

In the first statement, Brady expresses his gratitude to the Patriots' organization. But he says that he's leaving the team for a new stage in his career. "Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible TEAM achievements," the statements reads.
Tom Brady thanks the Patriots' fans

Though Brady is now 42-years-old, he's still a top-tier NFL quarterback. He led the Patriots to six Super Bowl wins, including one as recently as 2018. He shouldn't have trouble finding a new team, though it comes as a surprise to many that Brady will for the first time leave the organization that drafted him in 2000.
Brady has been married to his wife, model and actress Gisele Bündchen, since 2009. Together they have a son and a daughter.
