Thomas Raymond Bergeron was born on May 6, 1955 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Bergeron had other hosting stints before becoming known as the host of the game show Hollywood Squares in 1998. Over the years, he has also hosted America's Funniest Home Videos and Dancing With the Stars.

Bergeron revealed to Us Weekly back in 2017 that he didn't graduate college "because I was already working in radio."

While he has been nominated for multiple Emmys, Bergeron has only won once, as he was awarded Best Host in 2012.
