In an eye-opening chat with the Los Angeles Times, Tiffany Haddish, the hilarious and heartwarming star known for her role in 'Girl's Trip,' shared some juicy tidbits about her personal life that have fans buzzing!
From her initial crush on the dashing Henry Cavill to her unexpected journey towards sobriety and celibacy, Haddish never fails to keep it real and relatable.
Crushing Hard, Then Not So Much
Haddish candidly revealed her past infatuation with "Superman" star Henry Cavill, calling him "so hot" until an awkward encounter changed her mind.
"I used to really want Henry Cavill," she admitted, only to find their meeting less than stellar. Describing Cavill as awkward, Haddish humorously suggested that maybe a conversation about Dungeons & Dragons would have been more his speed. Despite the letdown, she still finds Cavill "beautiful."
"But I met him and he was so awkward," Haddish said about Cavill. "It was like, ‘This would be weird. I should be talking to him about Dungeons & Dragons. Maybe he’d be more comfortable.’"
"Or maybe he’s just never had a Black woman be like, ‘What’s up? What’s your credit score? Do you like spaghetti? I’ll cook for you. Are you afraid of South Central or not?’ But he’s still beautiful."
"All the famous guys I used to think, ‘Oh, I would love to do it to him,’ I know them now and I’m like, ‘No,’" she said.
Last year, Haddish revealed that Common, 52, dumped her over the phone. She also claimed that their split “wasn’t mutual” despite the rapper’s side of the story.
New beginnings
The 'Girl’s Trip' star, who previously dated rapper Common for two years until 2021, revealed she’s done dating celebs even if they’re attractive like Cavill.
Reflecting on her dating history, including a notable relationship with rapper Common, Haddish declared she's done with dating celebrities. Her experience has taught her that knowing them personally has turned off the appeal, even for heartthrobs like Cavill.
Haddish opened up about her breakup with Common, revealing it was a one-sided decision communicated over the phone. Despite the rapper's narrative, Haddish was left to ponder his future as a "50-year-old single man." Meanwhile, Common has since moved on with Jennifer Hudson.
On the other side, she's found a way to get back at online trolls, which is nice...
Haddish told the 'Los Angeles Times' that she created a fake Instagram account under the alter ego "Sarah" in order to combat the online hate she was receiving and to “destroy” the trolls by gathering details from their personal life.
"I’ve learned how to find people’s information — like I pull up the credit report, police records. You can do that for $1.99," Haddish said. "Sometimes, I get so mad that I’ll get they phone number and I’ll just call them," she gaffed...
