Did You Know That Tiffani Thiessen Almost Had A Role In 'Friends'?

For an entire generation, Tiffani Thiessen will always be the beautiful, perky "Kelly Kapowski" who was "Zack Morris'" (and every viewer's) dream on 'Saved by the Bell', but this actress' career didn't stop there.

Something that perhaps not many people know is how close Tiffani came to playing another iconic TV character. Tiffani Thiessen almost played "Rachel Green" on the very popular series 'Friends'.

After her exit from 'Saved by the Bell', Thiessen wanted to move on to something much more mature than her high school adventures and heard about auditions for a show about a group of friends living in New York City so she went out of her way to attend.

There was just one problem: Tiffani was 20 years old at the time and although the producers weren't quite sure of the age range of the characters, they felt that Thiessen was too young compared to the other two actresses they already had secured, Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox, who were already in their 30's.

Tiffani confessed in an interview that she had very good chemistry with Courtney Cox although not so much with Lisa Kudrow, but even she admits that she looked like the younger sister of both in the auditions.

Unfortunately for Tiffani, the producers chose Jennifer Aniston and, as they say, the rest is history.

Can you imagine how it the iconic series 'Friends' would have been different without the cast we know and love today?

But don't feel too bad for Tiffani, her career continued in a big way with one of her most memorable roles in 'Beverly Hills 90210' as "Valerie". She also even returned specially to reboots of 'Saved by the Bell'.

Although Tiffani's career would have exploded had she been a part of 'Friends', the truth is that she is not complaining because she has done quite well with appearances in countless shows and the creation of her own cooking channel on YouTube. She has published a couple of books, as well as has a beautiful family.

While she wasn't "Rachel Green" and she didn't get a chance to grab coffee at Central Perk, we can also imagine how weird it would have been if "Ross" fell in love with "Kelly Kapowski".
