Suzanne Somers, whom we all know as "Chrissy Snow" from Three's Company, has now opened up about her quite active sex life at the age of 73. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the actress revealed that she and her husband Alan Hamel (83), who have been taking bioidentical hormones made from plants for years, are now getting shots of PT-141 in order to boost their sex life.
Suzanne Somers: "I'm kind of in that groove..."
And it seems to be working, as Somers freely states in the interview: "I'm kind of in that groove, like when you were younger and you're in the mood all the time, and so is he because he's on hormone replacements."
Suzanne Somers has openly talked about the fact that the bioidentical hormones are her own fountain of youth. And now, she and Alan have added the regular shots as a a sex stimulant."I thought, 'Wow, what a great thing.' Because men have had Viagra, but this is actually a shot for both men and women that's not a drug."
Suzanne Somers had breast cancer
But the star of Step by Step was not always in great health. Somers was actually diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and underwent a lumpectomy - she opted to forgo chemotherapy at the time, which led to a controversy since she instead was treated with fermented mistletoe extract.
"The idea of fighting cancer with harsh chemical poisons. I just couldn't reckon with it," she says. "My doctor at the time said, 'You're going to die.' I said, "Honestly, with all due respect, I think I will die if I do what you tell me to do."
We're glad that it worked out for her and that she is still doing great - and the future seems to be bright for the 'ThighMaster' guru and TV legend...!
