Taika Waititi earned acclaim in 2019 as the writer and director of Jojo Rabbit. But the director is also known for work on the popular Marvel film, Thor: Ragnarok, and What We Do In The Shadows.

The in-demand filmmaker is also frequently caught taking naps - and sometimes posing as if he is asleep. His friends and the casts of his films have posted many photos of Waititi asleep in unexpected places.

Now, a Twitter account is devoting itself to collecting Waititi's nap photos. It turns out that dozens of these photos exist!

Celebrities are also contributing photos to the trend. MCU actor Mark Ruffalo shared a red carpet photo that references the director's naps.

Taika Waititi: Movies are keeping him busy (and tired)

The New Zealand filmmaker does have reasons to be tired. He's signed on to direct Thor: Love and Thunder, and news recently broke of his new horror-comedy series with Jude Law, titled The Auteur.

Waititi is attached to direct for The Auteur, but only as much as his busy schedule will permit.

Last year he directed Jojo Rabbit, which won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. His next film, Next Goal Wins, comes out in 2020.
