Charlize Theron stars alongside Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie in the film Bombshell which is about "the women at Fox News who exposes the Roger Ailes sexual misconduct scandal and took down the TV titan." Charlize Theron: Was "conflicted" to play Megyn Kelly
However, Charlize had some reservations at first about taking on the part. "I loved when Megyn took it to Trump. I admired her sharpness, her wit. She was fearless. But when my production company received the script for Bombshell, I was conflicted about playing her. I personally felt uncomfortable with some of the stuff that she's said," Theron admitted to W Magazine.
Charlize Theron was uncomfortable with things Kelly has said
It was the former news anchor's personality traits that ultimately convinced the actress to take the part. "I understood her strength and ambition. Megyn herself says, 'I know I'm tough' -- and that's something I've heard about myself. People told Megyn she had sharp elbows, that she was hard. I've had people judge me and say the same things about me," Charlize added.
You can catch Bombshell in theatres on December 13th, 2019.
