- Chrissy Metz is an American singer and actress
- She is best known for 'This Is Us'
- THIS is why her relationship has now ended
Breakups are hard enough for any couple. When you are a public figure, it can twice as hard. And now, Chrissy and her boyfriend Bradley Collins are calling it quits as a romantic item. Taking to Instagram to issue their joint statement, as the former couple repeated the same message to followers in the caption of a text graphic.
"After three and a half years together, we've decided to end our romantic relationship amicably," they began. "While we continue to love each other very much, we believe this is the best path for us both."
Chrissy and Bradley need to do what is best for them
They added that they "still have books to write, songs to sing, and a special friendship to keep [them] in each other's lives forever," before signing off. The couple has been collaborating artistically for some time, writing music and literature together. In fact, the Emmy nominee and the musician released their debut children’s book, 'When I Talk to God, I Talk About You', earlier this year.
"It was interesting because I was shooting the last season of the show, 'This is Us', and Bradley was here in Nashville and so we would collaborate on Zoom or through phone calls and FaceTime," she told 'Us Weekly'. "It was fun because sort of every day was different and we were trying to simplify the story ‘cause we [had many] different versions." In trying to pair down the number of story lines, Metz and Collins learned how to effectively communicate their respective opinions.
"You really sort of come up against, like, patience and all the things that you look for in a partner that you’re like, ‘OK, how are we gonna do this together? And so we learned a lot about each other and I think our relationship by doing such a cool and massive project as we started dating."
Also interesting:
The two authors spoke with 'People' when the book published and shared their inspiration. "When [we] were starting to get to know each other, I just realized we had a lot in common," Collins shared. "And through those conversations, a lot of stuff came up for both of us. Trauma and tragedy doesn't have an age limit to it, unfortunately."
But inevitably, the romance landed in hot water. However, the two parted amicably and continue to work on promoting their book, when it was released Collins said this: "Hopefully this book will remind everyone who reads it that you don't have to pray just when something bad happens. You can pray when good things happen...being thankful is just as important as praying."
It's refreshing to see such an amicable split in Hollywood. And who knows, maybe this is just a break. When two people get along as well as they do...it usually means they'll be back.
