This is why Jennifer Lopez turned down this Oscar-nominated role
The 50-year-old actress said that at the time the role was offered to her, the script "wasn't all the way there." Then she added, "I should have known that Adrian Lyne was going to kill it, but I didn’t. Diane Lane was so perfect for it, and it was obviously meant to be her, but when I think about that… I want to literally, like, shoot my toe off." Instead, that year J.Lo starred in the movies Enough and Maid in Manhattan, where she played "Slim" and "Marisa," respectively.
