Comedy isn't' always supposed to be squeaky clean, but some comedians take it a little too far for some! The most controversial comedians can be some of the funniest!
Comedians strive to entertain, but sometimes what they find funny can leave those watching uncomfortable, but at least they're memorable!
The most controversial comedians
Sometimes comedians remind us to take the hardest topics in life and learn to find the humour in them. Take George Carlin, for example. The late comedian often times poked fun at religion, politics, and social justice. Despite sometimes offending audience members, you can't help but laugh at the fact that he doesn't take anything too seriously!
Not only did Carlin joke about Osama Bin Laden and called airport security a joke, but he also titled his HBO special "I Kinda Like It When People Die" just days before 9/11 happened, and his special ended up getting shelved until 2016.
When comedians go too far
Daniel Tosh has always been known for saying outrageous and shocking things, but it was one stand up in particular that left a really bad taste in people's mouths. During a 2012 stand up show, Tosh had an audience member call out during his performance, to which he responded how funny it would be if she got "gang raped right this second".
The Tosh.0 creator was left having to apologize for the disturbing comments, but his apology seemed lackluster, and many boycotted the comedian.
