Back in the day, after the movie was released, both Sarandon and Davis received Oscar nominations in the category of Best Actress for their roles.

The 73-year-old actress, Susan Sarandon, also known for her roles in The Witches of Eastwick, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, described Thelma & Louise as "very romantic. It’s kind of a romanticized road trip movie,” she said.
