'The Sixth Sense': Donnie Wahlberg's Impressive Career

Donnie Wahlberg in The Sixth Sense cemented his successful venture into the acting world. Not just a talented singer and rapper, Wahlberg is truly a Jack of all trades. Here is a look back at his impressive career, including Donnie Wahlberg in The Sixth Sense.

Donnie Wahlberg The Sixth Sense wouldn't come until he was well into his career. Born August 17, 1969, Donnie is the eighth of nine children! His older brother Paul and younger brother Mark have also made it big in the entertainment industry, proving that talent must run in the family or the water they were drinking!

Growing up with an interest in music, Donnie would become the first member of hit American boy band New Kids on the Block in the 1980s. Just 15 years old when he was discovered, Donnie immediately blew away record producers Maurice Starr and Mary Alford with his rap and dance skills!

Donnie would then help to recruit the other members of the group, his younger brother Mark, Danny Wood, and Jamie Kelly. While the bands members would change over the year as the group rose to fame, including the departure of Mark and Jamie, Donnie would continue to lead the group through the years, writing a number of raps and songs including the bands seven studio albums!

While the band would have its up and downs throughout the years, Donnie would continue to grow his impressive resume by trying his hand at acting and starring in a number of films including:

Donnie's biggest acting role would come in 1999 film The Sixth Sense, where Donnie shines in the opening scene as the patient of Bruce Willis's character! In addition to film, Donnie has also starred in television series including World War II miniseries Band of Brothers and currently stars in CBS drama Blue Bloods as "Danny Reagan".

When Donnie isn't busy being a man of many talents, you will often catch him spending time with his wife, actress and model Jenny McCarthy! The two recently wed in 2014 and have been inseparable since! Donnie also enjoys spending time with his two grown sons, Xavier and Elijah whom he shares with his first wife Kimberly Fey.
