The Broadway producer and father of three "Maxwell Sheffield" was played by none other than Charles Shaughnessy (65), who, alongside Fran Drescher (62), was one of the main members of The Nanny cast. Both fans and critics agree that they made one of the cutest TV couples ever. It has been years since the show last aired and a lot has changed for our beloved "Mr. Sheffield."

The Nanny: Charles Shaughnessy today

Shaughnessy has lost none of his good looks. Even today, the actor looks just as good as he did back then, albeit with slightly grayer hair. It seems that his increasing years have not affected his acting career at all, as he was able to star in a number of movies, such as Moontrap and Danger One, after The Nanny. He has also made numerous appearances on other TV shows like The Bay, Mad Men and Days of our Lives.

Charles Shaughnessy recently returned to screens in 2017, after taking a four-year-break from acting. The actor has been lucky in love and has been married to wife Susan Fallender since 1983. The couple have two beautiful daughters, Jenny Johanna and Maddy Sarah.

Lucky for us, Charles stays pretty active on his official social media! Check out some of his recent posts here:

It looks like his daughter just recently got married, despite being on lockdown for COVID-19! Charles is one proud father.
