Tylo's son Michael died in tragic home accident
The Bold and the Beautiful star Hunter Tylo was married to fellow actor Michael Tylo from 1987 to 2005. The two had three children together— Michael, Izabella Gabrielle, and Katya Ariel. Hunter Tylo also has an older son, Christopher, who came from her first marriage.

She was shocked when her second son, Michael Jr., drowned in his Nevada pool. He passed away on October 18, 2007 at just 19 years old. The actress's son suffered from epilepsy, and an epileptic seizure is said to have been the reason why he died in the pool.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest a few months after the tragic accident, the actress explained why working on The Bold and the Beautiful in particular helped her to cope with her grief. "Working was an escape, but I was going through my real emotions, which a lot of people saw onscreen," she said. "I had a line in the courtroom where "Taylor" said, 'That's not fair!' and I meant it."
Hunter Tylo wanted to continue to give everything in her job, especially for her "Mickey". "All I could do, and I know it was what Mickey would want me to do, is the best job when I’m acting and use my real emotions," she shared. "So that was in honor of Mickey."
Hunter Tylo is one of those stars who lost their children too early. Despite this, the Bold and Beautiful actress has pushed on and managed to stay strong for her other children since "Mickey's" death.
