Juan Pablo Galavis Guinand is an American-born Venezuelan former professional soccer player. He is known for appearing on the ABC show The Bachelorette in 2013 and later being cast at The Bachelor in 2014.
He was the first Latino star of the hit ABC reality television franchise. He is now 38-years-old and has one daughter named Camilla born on February 14th, 2009 with his former girlfriend Carla Rodríguez.
Juan Pablo: The Worst Bachelor
Juan Pablo was the season 18 Bachelor after he was a contestant on the season 9 show of The Bachelorette. He was pursuing Desiree Hartsock on the show and eliminated midway through the season in 2013. ABC then announced on August 5th, 2013 that Juan Pablo Galavis would be the next Bachelor.
Many fans were delighted at first, but after the season played out the way it did, people were very excited to get him out of their minds as soon as the season ended. He chose Nikky Ferrell on his season of The Bachelor but the couple ended their relationship shortly after the show aired in October 2014.
Juan Pablo: Professional Soccer Career
Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor was full of controversy as many people did not appreciate or approve of his attitude both on and off screen. Before his time on the show, he was a professional soccer midfielder/forward. He played college soccer for Roberts Wesleyan College, Primera Division Venezolana, Monagas SC, Aragua FC, Guaros FC and then he joined the Miami FC in 2008. Later that year, he retired from the sport in 2008.

After his soccer career, he started a career in the music business where he did promotional work for the Miami bar and club scene. Since his time on The Bachelor, Juan Pablo began dating Venezuelan model and TV host Osmariel Villalobos in 2016 and it was announced on August 7th, 2017 that the couple had gotten married. He is a family man with his wife and his daughter and according to his social media, his career is flourishing as he is listed as a "Sports & Music Consultant" on his official Instagram page.
