Andrew Garfield as "Spider-Man" wouldn't come until halfway through his career! Born August 20, 1983, in LA, Andrew Garfield would spend his childhood growing up in Surrey in the United Kingdom. Andrew would grow up with an interest in gymnastics and swimming with the intent of studying business. 

Andrew's career choice would change after a friend encouraged him to take Theatre Studies at the age of 16. After he got a taste of acting, there was no turning back for Andrew!

Andrew Garfield as "Spider-Man" would take form after the actor got his start in stage acting! After graduating from university, Andrew would immediately make a name for himself in the British theatre scene winning multiple newcomer awards! 

It wouldn't take Andrew Garfield long to make his way to television and then to film, eventually making his way to American film. Andrew would star in a number of hits including: 

  • Doctor Who
  • Boy A
  • Lions for Lambs (2007)
  • The Other Boleyn Girl (2008)
  • Never Let Me Go (2010)

Eventually culminating in his breakthrough performance as one of the leads in 2010's The Social Network. Received warmly by critics and fans alike, the role would gear Andrew up for the biggest role of his career- Andrew Garfield as "Spider-Man"! 

Cast as lead "Peter Parker" aka "Spider-Man" opposite actress Emma Stone, 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man would take Andrew's career farther than he could have ever imagined! Grossing over $700 million worldwide, audiences just couldn't get enough of Andrew Garfield as "Spider-Man" leading to the film's sequel in 2014...and again he starred in the 2021 film, Spider-Man: No Way Home!

Since starring as "Spider-Man", Andrew Garfield has become a household name. He has gone on to star in a number of successful films including two 2016 hits: Martin Scorsese's Silence and Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge

Andrew has also continued to act on stage, even winning a Tony Award for his performance in Broadway hit, Angels in America. The actor, who just turned 41, isn't sporting a wedding band yet, but seems to be in a pretty serious relationship with Kate Tomas!
