Before he found fame starring in Battlestar Galactica in 1978, Dirk Benedict (75) mostly worked as a musical theater actor. He became a true household name when he was cast as "Lieutenant Templeton 'Face' Peck" in The A-Team in 1983.
Dirk Benedict After The A-Team
However, after the A-team finished, Dirk's fame did not last long. While other TV stars of the eighties went on to become successful and in-demand actors, Dirk's career had run its course. His performance as "Hamlet" at the Abbey Theatre was denounced by numerous critics and the bad reviews put a nail in the coffin of his career.
Even various guest appearances in cult TV shows such as Murder, She Wrote (1989, 1995), and Baywatch (1992), could not revive his dying career.
