You may remember the iconic and utterly incredible artist Mary J. Blige, who not only performed at the Superbowl Halftime show most recently but also will be awarded an Icon Award at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards!

Wow! What a prize for an iconic woman! The R&B singer and music producer is being recognized for all of the hard work she's put in over the last couple of decades!
Standing alongside artists like Pink, Niel Diamond, Cher, Prince and Janet Jackson, Blige will be commemorated as one of the most Iconic artists to emerge in the 2000s!
"My career has been such an incredible and unexpected journey that has included many turns into avenues I never could have imagined like acting, producing, launching businesses and now even my own music festival," she said to Billboard.

"I always one way or another gravitated back to my first love, music," she added. This is obvious in her impressive career. Not only has she amassed 10 Billboard awards herself, but she's also won 9 Grammy Awards.
And her acting skill is just as impressive. In 2017 she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Mudbound at the Oscars.
