T.I.'s Daughter Deyjah Tears Up Addressing His Comments Regarding Her Gynaecologist Appointments

Rapper and singer T.I. came under fire a few months ago for revealing that he often joins his 18-year-old daughter during her gynaecologist appointments to ensure she is still a virgin. For the first time, Deyjah is opening up about the controversy.

Deyjah reveals a father-daughter fallout

T.I. came under fire a few months ago when he revealed that he visits his daughter Deyjah's gynaecologist once a year to make sure that she is still a virgin.

The comments were not well received by many, as the archaic practise is not only inaccurate but also an invasion of privacy.

For the first time, Deyjah is speaking out about what it felt like to hear her personal information exposed, all while she was on vacation.

During Monday's episode of T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, Deyjah said in a confessional, "Things are completely uncomfortable for me right now."

"We're all together in this house, so I have to see my Dad and be around him. And we're in a foreign country so it's not like I can leave and get away," she continued.

She then went on to explain how she came to find out about the exposure.

"I'm scrolling on Twitter, and I see that I've been tagged in a post," she said. "The only word that I saw was 'gynaecologist' and I didn't even need to read the whole title 'cause I just knew. My heart sank — very shocked, hurt, angry, embarrassed."

"I'm trying to put it in the back of my mind so I'm not really thinking about it," she continued. "I know it's not healthy. But I've been doing that since I was a child," she said before adding that T.I. had been going to her appointments since she was 14 or 15 and that she "couldn’t have said no" to his coming with her.

Family members have urged T.I. to speak to his daughter in regards to the comments that upset her, but he responded with, "If Deyjah hasn’t come to me, why would I disrupt my energy with that?"

T.I. said in his own confessional that, "I told a joke that was laced in truth, also [with] a lot of major embellishments."

"I need more time to figure out what I want to say, but things are completely awkward and uncomfortable between me and my Dad," Deyjah said to some family members.

"Prior to all of this happening, our relationship was pretty decent, but after all of this, it’s changed, honestly," she added.
