Vanessa Lachey has led the NCIS: Hawaii cast since 2021. She plays the role of "Jane Tennant." Meanwhile, Wilmer Valderrama has been an integral part of the NCIS team as "Nick Torres" since 2016.
But it turns out the two have known each other for many years! They actually have throwback photos like the one seen above. Here's how they knew each other back then.

In 2006, Vanessa Lachey was unmarried and known as Vanessa Minnillo. Born in the Philippines, she looked quite different back in the day, but even then she was a real eye-catcher.
No wonder she has won so many beauty pageants. Vanessa has been Miss South Carolina Teen USA and Miss Teen USA.
Later, she was a pageant and TV presenter on shows including MTV's Total Request Live. In 2006, that's where she met Wilmer Valderrama, who was also an MTV host at the time.

Wilmer Valderrama is an NCIS fan-favourite
Wilmer Valderrama used to be a real hunk too. With his sweet smile, he certainly turned the heads of quite a few fans on That '70s Show.
