Proud mother Sia is using her platform to show her support for Johnny Depp. Now that more and more evidence about Amber Heard's actions is coming to light in the gritty court battle, more high profile celebrities are siding with the once villainized Johnny Depp.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's Nasty Court Battles
Johnny Depp has launched a lawsuit against The Sun for damages to his career and libel when they published his ex-wife's possibly false accusations against him without doing due diligence. Johnny lost work, was pulled from his Pirates franchise and has his name dragged through the mud before he decided to fight back with his own mountain of evidence.
Now recordings and admissions that Amber had used make-up to fake an injury, physically abused Johnny, and the countless recordings of Amber's scary lies and manipulations are being released due to the court battle. Many celebrities who first blindly believed Amber's claims have now taken back their support and many of Johnny's friends like Javier Bardem have supported him and attested to his character that he would never hurt a woman. Even his longtime ex-girlfriends are supporting him and affirming that he never laid a finger on them abusively.
Sia Supports Johnny Depp in Court Battle
Now Grammy Award-winner Sia is voicing her support for weathered Johnny. She posted to Twitter some of the audio recordings that were released where Johnny can be heard begging Amber to calm down and to no longer be physically violent with him.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star can be heard saying, "If things get physical, we HAVE to separate. There can be no physical violence." to which his wife at the time says, "No, we don't. I can't promise you that I'll be perfect. I can't promise you I won't get physical again."
The Aquaman star goes on to admit to assaulting him multiple times and mocks him saying, "I was just hitting you, not punching you... don't be a baby." At another point in the recording, Johnny says, "I'm not the one who f***ing throws f***ing pots and pans and whatever the f*** else at me," and Amber admits to it saying, "That's different... That's irrelevant."
The new mom Sia felt compelled to use her platform to help spread the recording and Tweeted out, "Just showing my public support for Johnny Depp." Sia even called out Elon Musk for helping Amber before he knew the whole truth.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp met while co-starring in the 2011 film the Rum Diary and eventually married in 2015 and divorcing in 2017. Now Johnny has filed a defamation lawsuit against Amber and The Sun for the op-ed piece she wrote alleging he is a "wife-beater" and Amber has counter-sued alleging Johnny has used online trolls and fake social media pages to start a "smear campaign" against her.
We will have to wait and see what the courts decide.
