The victim, identified as Allie Shehorn, a renowned Hollywood makeup artist, survived a brutal attack in her own home, allegedly at the hands of Pasqual. This article delves into the details of the shocking incident, the ongoing recovery of Shehorn, and the broader implications of domestic violence in intimate relationships.
Consequences are coming
In what can only be described as a nightmare come to life, Hollywood is reeling from the news that actor Nick Pasqual has been arrested near the U.S.-Mexico border, charged with the attempted murder of his estranged ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn. Pasqual, known for his roles in 'Rebel Moon Part One' and a guest spot on 'How I Met Your Mother,' is currently being extradited back to L.A. County to face his charges in court.
Prosecutors allege that on May 23, Pasqual broke into Shehorn's L.A. home and stabbed her multiple times with a knife.
Shehorn, who had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual, was left with critical injuries but miraculously survived the attack. The incident has sparked a wave of support for Shehorn, with a GoFundMe page set up in her name surpassing its goal of $100,000 to cover her extensive medical expenses.
Shehorn's recovery journey has been one of immense courage and determination. After undergoing multiple surgeries to treat her injuries, including severed tendons in her right arm, Shehorn has been moved out of the ICU.
Updates from the GoFundMe page reveal that despite the pain, Shehorn remains upbeat and grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and strangers alike.
Hope yet
On Sunday, Shehorn had recovered enough to have her breathing and feeding tubes removed.
"Allie is able to talk. She is in a lot of pain but remains silly and upbeat," Dornoff wrote in an update. "I read the names off from the donation list to her. She started crying seeing and hearing all the names and love and support. Thank you."
Dornoff also revealed that one of Shehorn’s friends, an "adopted Mom" of sorts named Christine, was "the one who found her and saved her."
"She is very brave and acted fast when she found Allie bleeding out. Thank you Christine for saving her life."
This heinous incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón expressed his sympathies for the victim and emphasized the commitment to holding the perpetrator accountable.
The case also highlights the alarming statistics surrounding intimate partner violence, with a significant number of women reporting abuse at the hands of their partners.
